Hopnest Direct provides software tools that help stay owners create direct booking pages, manage room availability, receive guest enquiries, and organise booking requests.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the responsibilities of Hopnest Direct, stay owners, and guests.
2. What Hopnest Direct Does
Hopnest Direct is built for independent accommodation providers such as homestays, villas, cottages, boutique stays, farm stays, small resorts, and independent property owners.
The platform allows stay owners to create a public booking page, display room information, manage availability, receive guest enquiries, and organise booking requests.
Hopnest Direct provides software and technology tools only. Booking confirmation, guest communication, payment collection, cancellations, refunds, and check-in are handled directly between the stay owner and the guest.
3. Information We Collect
From stay owners, we may collect owner or manager name, email address, WhatsApp number, property name, location details, room types, room count, guest capacity, amenities, pricing notes, house rules, booking policies, cover photos, and gallery photos.
From guests, we may collect name, contact number, check-in and check-out dates, room selection, guest count, and notes or special requests submitted through a booking request form.
We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, usage details, access logs, and system error logs to operate and secure the platform.
4. How the Service Works
A stay owner creates a direct booking page using Hopnest Direct. A guest visits the public page and submits an enquiry or booking request. The request is stored in the dashboard so the stay owner can review it and respond directly.
Any booking confirmation, payment discussion, cancellation, refund, or stay arrangement happens directly between the stay owner and the guest. Hopnest Direct is not a party to those arrangements.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, and operate the software service, create and display property booking pages, deliver guest enquiries to stay owners, improve platform performance, provide support, prevent misuse, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Sharing of Information
Guest enquiry information is shared with the selected stay owner so they can review the request and respond directly.
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, analytics, security monitoring, and backend support. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, government authority request, or regulatory obligation.
7. Guest and Stay Owner Communication
After a booking request is submitted, communication may take place directly between the stay owner and the guest through WhatsApp, phone, SMS, email, or other channels chosen by the stay owner.
Once communication moves to those channels, Hopnest Direct is not responsible for the content of those conversations, data security on third-party platforms, or agreements made between the parties.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support users, maintain platform records, resolve operational issues, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Stay owners may request account deletion by contacting support. We will remove or anonymise information where reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, and operational retention requirements.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices, accounts, passwords, and communication channels.
10. Responsibilities of Stay Owners
Stay owners are responsible for maintaining accurate and lawful booking page information, managing room availability, responding to enquiries, confirming reservations, collecting payments, managing cancellations, processing refunds, and complying with applicable laws and regulations.
11. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
Hopnest Direct does not currently collect payments from guests. Any payment arrangement is made directly between the stay owner and the guest.
Cancellation policies, refund decisions, and refund processing are handled entirely by the stay owner. Hopnest Direct is not responsible for disputes relating to bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds, property conditions, or guest stays.
12. Children’s Privacy
Hopnest Direct is intended for use by adults involved in travel planning and property management. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
13. Your Rights and DPDP Compliance
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, individuals may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, and grievance redressal.

14. Changes, Governing Law, and Jurisdiction
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Kochi, Kerala, India.
